A finance business partner at a price that scales with you. AI-first Seed plans from $99 a month for the early years, and the full finance function from $199 when volumes grow into it. The same team on the same stack at every stage, so moving up is a conversation, not a migration.
Answer eight questions about how your business actually runs and you will see the plan you land on, what it costs, and what sits outside the fee. Pay annually and take 20 percent off the subscription.
AI reads your receipts, codes each entry and matches your bank. Our finance experts check the work and sign off your books every month. Ledger software is included, so there is no separate accounting software bill.
SEED
$99/mo
Billed monthly
Annual revenue under $250K
Best for: Founders running lean who want clean books and a monthly sign-off, not a finance department.
SEED PLUS
$149/mo
Billed monthly
Annual revenue up to $500K
Best for: Businesses past first revenue that need a cash flow statement and a quarterly conversation.
Prices are per business, per month. Above 75 transactions a month, or once revenue passes $500K, the standard plans below apply from $199 a month. The same team handles the move.
Every engagement is built on the same four workstreams: books and close, payroll, AR and AP, and reporting. What changes as the business grows is volume, coverage and customisation, not the team or the standard of work.
ESSENTIALS
Starting at$199/mo
Billed monthly
Books and statements, nothing you do not need
Best for: A single-entity business under 30 transactions a month, simple banking, nobody on payroll yet.
STARTUP
Starting at$450/mo
Billed monthly
The full finance function, one state
Best for: 31 to 100 transactions a month.
In practice
Your first hires are on payroll and money is moving both ways, in and out.
GROWING
Starting at$1,000/mo
Billed monthly
FP&A enters the engagement
Best for: 101 to 200 transactions a month.
In practice
You are managing to a plan and need forecasting, spend control and a custom chart of accounts.
SCALEUP
Custom
Multi-state, customised reporting
Best for: Over 200 transactions a month, multiple entities or states, investor or lender reporting, and a close calendar that cannot slip.
Need more than accounting? Fractional CFO and FP&A engagements, including forecasting, fundraising support and board reporting, are scoped on top of any starting point.
Every engagement is built on the same four. What changes as the business grows is volume, coverage and customisation, not the team or the standard of work.
Books & close
Monthly bookkeeping with a P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow Statement, and bank reconciliations behind every number.
People
Payroll run on Gusto, from a single state and a handful of people up to multi-state coverage at the top of the range.
Cash in & out
Client invoicing with email follow-up on the receivables side; vendor invoicing and bill pay on the payables side.
Insight
Monthly standard reports as the baseline, with customised reporting and FP&A as you grow into them, and Fractional CFO when strategy is on the table.
Most providers sell you one layer. The plans above cover the bottom two from day one, and the upper two attach to the same team when you need them, with no migration and no second firm to brief.
Fractional CFO engagements: forecasting, fundraising support, board reporting, scoped when strategy is on the table.
What actually drives profitability. FP&A support enters the engagement at Growing and expands at Scaleup.
Numbers you can rely on, on time: monthly P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow Statement, prepared to a documented standard.
Staff and suppliers paid on time and cash collected from customers: bookkeeping, payroll, AR, AP and reconciliations running without the owner in them.
Delivered underneath all four: systems and process. Tooling, workflow design, automation and AI leverage.

Fractional CFO and FP&A engagements are scoped on top of any starting point. They are not a separate firm, a separate retainer or a separate stack, which is the usual reason a founder ends up briefing two sets of advisers who do not talk to each other.

Every provider on this page prices from the same handful of variables. Most of them do not tell you which. Here are ours, and the three steps that turn them into a number.
01
Thirty minutes on what you sell, how money moves and what you need to see each month. No document request list before we have understood the business.
02
We look at your bank and card accounts, payroll, how far behind the books are, and the reports you actually use. The scope comes out of that, not out of a template.
03
One number, agreed before you start, with what is in and what is out written down. Filings and add-ons are priced separately so you only pay for what you file.
Nothing here is billed by the hour. If the scope changes enough to move the fee, we tell you before the work starts, not after it is done.
Four ways a founder can get the finance function covered. This compares what each one includes, not what any one firm charges, because scope is where the real difference sits.
| CFOLogic | Startup accounting platform | Traditional CPA or bookkeeping firm | Hiring in house | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A named finance expert signs off your books | Included from $99 a month | Usually from the second tier up | Yes | Yes, once you have hired |
| Ledger software inside the fee | Included on Seed plans | Normally a separate subscription | Normally a separate subscription | Separate subscription |
| Bookkeeping, controller and CFO from one team | Included | Separate product lines, separately priced | Sometimes, often referred out | Two or three hires |
| Fractional CFO time without a second retainer | $150 an hour, as needed | A separate CFO plan | A separate engagement letter | Not applicable |
| Payroll, AR and AP run for you | From the $450 Startup plan | Higher tiers only | Usually an add-on | In house |
| US parent and India subsidiary in one engagement | Included | Rare | Rare | Two teams, two sets of advisers |
| Hybridshore delivery: US review, offshore execution | Included | No | No | No |
| A fixed monthly fee agreed up front | Included | Yes | Often hourly, or hourly above a scope | Salary, benefits and software |
| An entry price published on the website | Yes, $99 a month | Yes, varies by provider | Rarely published | Not applicable |
Hybridshore is how the number stays low. A US-based lead owns your account, reviews the work and signs it off; execution sits with our team in India on the same systems and the same close calendar. That structure is what lets us hold a US-reviewed scope 30 to 50 percent below a comparable US-only firm fee, without moving the review offshore.
Taken from each provider's own pricing page on 21 October 2026, lowest published monthly figure only. Prices move and tiers get renamed, so follow the links before you rely on any of it.
| Provider | Lowest published monthly price | What that entry price includes |
|---|---|---|
| CFOLogic Seed | $99 a month | AI bookkeeping with a finance expert sign-off every month, ledger software included, monthly P&L and balance sheet. |
| Pilot Essentials | $99 a month | Software and AI categorisation. Their page puts the US-based bookkeeper on the Core plan, which starts at $299 a month billed annually. |
| Xendoo Essential | $395 a month | Monthly bookkeeping with an expense cap of $50,000 a month. |
| Fondo monthly close | $399 a month | Promotional rate against a $499 list price. Monthly close with a dedicated accountant. |
| Bookkeeper360 bookkeeping | From $400 a month | Monthly bookkeeping. Setup and prior-year work quoted from $1,000. |
| Zeni Starter | From $549 a month | AI bookkeeping with a dedicated finance team. $494 a month if billed annually. Requires QuickBooks Online Plus. |
| Graphite Accounting | From $1,500 a month | Accounting handled end to end with a dedicated team. Their Finance and CFO line starts at $2,000 a month. |
Two things worth noticing. The cheapest entry tiers in this market are often software with AI on top and no person reviewing the result, so a $99 plan and a $99 plan are not the same purchase. And the gap widens as you grow: our Startup plan runs payroll, AR and AP from $450 a month, against floors of $1,500 and $2,000 for comparable scope elsewhere.
Take only what the business needs. Nothing here is bundled into a tier you have to buy your way into.
NAVIGATOR · BASIC
List price $299.
In practice
Your numbers on one screen and an AI you can ask about them at any hour. Works on our hosted ledger, QuickBooks Online or Xero. Extra entities at half rate.
CFO ON CALL
A senior finance lead with US experience when a decision is big: a loan, a hire, a new location.
In practice
Usually within a week. No retainer and no minimum.
PAYROLL
Payroll run every cycle with payslips and payroll tax filings handled for you.
In practice
Payroll software is included, with no separate bill.
SETUP & CATCH-UP
Account setup, opening balances and training on the receipt app.
In practice
If the books are behind, catch-up runs at $49 per past month.
SEED PLANS
Sales tax from $100 per filing
Income tax from $100 a month
You pay for each return we file, so a business that files quarterly pays less than one that files monthly. Paying monthly spreads the annual return across the year.
STANDARD PLANS
State filings $300 per state, per year
Federal Essentials $1,000 · Startup $1,500 · Growing $2,500 · Scaleup custom, per year
Flat per-state pricing across every package. The fee does not change as your subscription tier does.
Federal tax filing fees exclude software at $200 per entity, per year. Subscription fees do not include third-party software such as Puzzle, QuickBooks Online, Gusto or Ramp. Seed plans include the ledger, so there is no separate accounting software bill on those.
STRUCTURE
A senior finance leader in your time zone who knows your business, backed by a 40+ person Center of Excellence running the close, the reconciliations and the reports to a documented standard.
In practice
Employees, not contractors. You are never handed a portal and a ticket queue.
ECONOMICS
Fees buy a finance business partner, not just bookkeeping: books, payroll, AR, AP and reporting with senior review built in, and a clear path to FP&A and CFO work when you need it.
LEVERAGE
Close acceleration, anomaly detection and automated workflows keep the fees flat while the work compounds.
In practice
Judgement is reserved for the places a person is genuinely better, and a person is always accountable.
Transaction volume, how many accounts we reconcile, your payroll headcount and states, AR and AP volume, how many entities you run and how fast you need the close. We price off those, not off your revenue line, and we tell you which ones are driving your number.
On the Seed plans, yes. The ledger is in the $99 and $149 fee, so there is no separate software bill. On the standard plans the subscriptions you already run, such as QuickBooks Online, Gusto, Ramp or Puzzle, stay on your account and are billed to you directly.
We quote catch-up separately before anything starts. On Seed plans it is $49 for each past month, plus a $199 one-time setup. For heavier clean-ups we scope the work and give you a fixed number.
No, and that is deliberate. You only pay for what you actually file. State filings are $300 per state per year. Federal returns follow your package rather than an assessment of complexity: $1,000 on Essentials, $1,500 on Startup, $2,500 on Growing, and quoted on Scaleup. Sales tax starts at $100 a filing and income tax support at $100 a month on Seed plans.
That is the intended path. Above 75 transactions a month, or once revenue passes $500,000, the standard plans take over from $199 a month. The same team carries your history across, so nothing is rebuilt.
No long-term lock-in. The fee is monthly and the scope is written down. If what you need changes, we re-scope and tell you the new number before the work starts.
A US-based lead owns your account, reviews every close and signs it off. Execution sits with our qualified team in India, on your systems and your close calendar. We call it hybridshore: the review stays in the US, which is what keeps the quality up and the fee down.
Yes, and it is one engagement rather than two. One team handles the US books and the Indian entity's compliance, which removes the reconciliation work between two sets of advisers who do not talk to each other.
Audit and assurance, legal advice, and anything requiring a licensed public accounting opinion. Payroll processing fees, software subscriptions on the standard plans, and tax filings are priced separately and listed above. Federal return pricing excludes the $200 per entity per year filing software cost.
Thirty minutes on your books, your volumes and your state footprint, and we will tell you where to start, including whether the smaller engagement is the right answer. No pitch, no pressure.
